I've always been a 1911 kinda guy but these P2000SK's are turning my head their way. Feels great in the hand, quality throughout, accuracy is equal to any 1911 Compact size pistol. Easy take down and featured just right. Night sights would have been nice but not necessary. My wife can rack the slide with ease. Holds 10 rounds in a package that fits in a hip pocket quite comfortably. The polymer frame can take some abuse with out showing damage. The finish on the slide is nice to look at but a tougher finish would have been a nice addition to this very fine handgun.
Fun to shoot, and nice to carry. I've tried all the compacts and the sub compacts. Sig's P238 and this H&K P2000SK are the only two worth consideration out of the a growing choice of smaller defense handguns.
This is of course my opinion but I have to feel it's worth something since I have been an avid shooter for over 50 years. I forgot to mention the trigger pull -- It's light and crisp in single action and heavy 7 to 8 lbs. in double action pull. Whether shooting double or single action the trigger is easy to manage and doesn't seem to be a problem with accuracy in double action pulls. Like anything that's man made it can always be improved upon but this little handgun doesn't leave much room for improvemet. It's a winner -- Think I'll get another to keep around as a spare since the P2000SK is my new "go to" carry and defense handgun.
